I am an AI researcher and software engineer. I currently work as a Senior Applied Scientist at Amazon, on the Special Projects Team within Amazon Ads. My work focuses on problems at the intersection of Computer Science and Economics. Before joining Amazon, I was a Machine Learning Research Scientist and Associate Director of the PittNAIL Lab at the University of Pittsburgh. My work sat at the intersection of Computer Science and Healthcare, where I led the lab's strategic initiatives in LLMs and mentored students. At Pitt, I facilitated a collaboration with HealthUnity to study generative AI with a particular focus on applications in healthcare. Prior to Pitt, I worked as a Research Engineer at DawnLight, a Sequoia Capital-backed startup in ambient intelligence and edge computing. Earlier on, I did AI research for Mayo Clinic, focusing on transformer models and graph-based methods. A more detailed bio is available here.
